From that grapevine account who got the Doughty and Donohue stuff before it was common knowledge:

Hiwula & Day are Swindon’s two top targets right now, another striker on loan from Middlesborough is being looked at. A left back the other target which Declan John is one of the options. Jewell is the main recruiter this window over Sheridan who’s on his on his last legs #STFC

Sheridan on the verge of the sack?

Gosh! Didn't expect to see this so early in the morning.

Day - Hmmm! Doesn't look that great in the Youtube clips
Hiwula - Looks fast. Nice Coventry compellation on Youtube. Doesn't look to have done anything or be rated at Pompey, although Jacket appears to want to offer him a contract when his short term one ends on 20 Jan.
John - Some derogatory comments from Swans fans along the lines of those we have produced for Tyler Reid.

I'm surprised about Sheridan. When you make a decision, you have to give a little time. Bloke's had a lot on his plate. Thought he had made a 'bit' of a difference, but, if the last game is the yardstick then that can't continue.

Swansea fans probably hate John because he played for Cardiff before

If Sheridan is in the verge of the sack, which I’d be very surprised about, we will have surely already started looking a manager headhunt too in preparation for a decision...?

If we’re also looking at another striker from Middlesbrough, either Hiwula is coming as a winger and Stevens is on his way back or Tyler Smith is offski to balance the books and the number of loans in match day squad?

Who do we currently have that can play there naturally and be comfortable in the role? Johnny Smith? Jack Payne? Paul Caddis?   It’s a huge gap that will get exploited all season long if we’re not careful

We don't have a left back and our defence is fucking awful.

I'd say yes.

Fryers. I'd like to see a back four of Hunt, Conroy, Odimayo, Fryers tried if we don't get a left back, although I would still be looking to get one personally.

We certainly need a left back, sorting our defence out is a priority

If Sheridan does walk away / get sacked then Paul Jewell will take charge to the end of the season

I dont think he will.. He has said previously he has no interest in being a manager even if short term.

Couple of possibilities from Middlesbrough. Ashley Fletcher - ooc in 6 months so loan unlikely.

There’s also a wrangle going on with a lad from the Barnet academy called Steven Bola. They closed their academy but kept the registrations of the youngsters in the hope of getting some sort of compo. This lad is a real talent apparently who was at Middlesbrough for a bit so they want him back to loan out. Only 17 though.
