Not a rumour but if Wellens did fancy a big lump target man then he could do worse than signing Jamille Matt from Newport, always a handful against us and ran us ragged at times in the last couple of seasons.

Apart from Bowery, Mansfield have also signed striker Jamie Reid from Torquay. Apparently, contracts this year will take effect from 1st August.

Does that mean that OOC players will basically have to put up with a month unpaid between contracts ending 30th June and starting 1st August? Harking back to the old days when they had jobs in the summer. |
