Doyle has said previously he does not move for the money but to play regular football, I'm sure if he is offered a decent enough contract he will stay as he has enjoyed his time and knows as long as he delivers he will be playing in a system that gets the best out of him and he will be enjoying his football, I's sure he does not want to risk the same thing happening again as it did at Bradford.

I'm sure there are clauses that can boost his wages linked to attendances, goals scored, games played, games won with him starting etc etc with the bonus linked to us doing well thus having a bit more money

Well he seems to have ideas very far above our station in reality based on the one I have seen. Jamal Lowe? Come on!

Similar to whoever thought up the Sam Winnall rumour I would imagine.

If we were promoted to the Championship then maybe these rumours would hold a bit of water.

Talking to a colleague today who seems to think the Doyle to Mansfield rumour will turn out to be true. I remain sceptical.

Everybody has their price if the Radfords are willing to spend enough...

I can't see how they'd work it if there is to be a flat salary cap, though.

They’ve already got Maynard on £5k pw. Can’t see any club offering that in L2 nowadays.

Is it wrong to say I'm not too sad if he goes? I sort of feel like he served an amazing purpose and will go down in history, but he's not a player worth investing in long term.

Would rather Yates, DJ, Benda, Grant, Keshi re-signed.

It feels wrong even typing that.

Mansfield have signed striker Jordan Bowery from Dongs.

That puts Doyle to bed I reckon.

He seems to think his source is credible. Not saying he’s right, but he’s the head teacher so I just nod and agree.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I reckon any decent poacher will do well in that position. Yates had a similar scoring record when he was played there.
