Cox would have been a good signing in 2009. Nothing he's done in recent years suggests that he'd be more than a shadow of the player he was, and on a ton of money to boot. Ranger and Cox up front would be a massive gamble (you may remember some were very excited over the proven L1 quality of Cureton and Thorpe up top)
Corrected for you....
Some of us went to watch training sessions and could see from the body language of Cureton and Thorpe bitching about Kingy's antediluvian training methods....it might be trouble ahead.
Of course, under the current regime, watching training is pretty difficult, I'm not even sure where they do it atm, which is partly why I've been minded not to bother thinking too much about STFC 16/17.
However now we're into mid July, the odd thought is popping into the head. So regards new signings this was my take last week....
Well we used 20 of our own players tonight, quite a few being kids, but I can easily see this being how Wiliams will want to progress....prob a couple of loans and perhaps one more permanent, and we'll be good to go
Not really seen anything to change this view, of course if JO and YK depart they'll need replacing.
