Could the TEF dream come true?

What if he came, but then said he didn't like cheese. Then what would happen?

He'd turn into a manatee, and we'd all float off into space.

Is that what passes as "part of MacDonalds plans"...

Hmmm, not all bad, space looks cool from Chris Hadfield's photos.

Benson to Oxford would be a jolly nice good will gesture.

You know your club are broke when a soon-to-be 34 year old lower league forward is breaking the budget and you're trying to offload him to your fiercest rival (probably due to him not having to uproot his family).

Paul Benson is 33 years old, and had a return of one in four last season - Worse than Rooney, Collins, Williams & Storey. And that includes his league two sojourn. So I'm not sure why he's suddenly the goalscoring messiah we so desperatly seek

It would have been nice to keep him for variety and experience, but given his age and the budget cutting it's a luxury we just can't afford.

Hilarious over reaction. It would show less ambition to go into the season with him as one of our main strikers.

Good option to have from the bench, not as a regular starter though.

Either both of you are talking bollocks, or the Adver was.

BBC claimed halving to just over £2m plus all the figures make sense and appear in the right ballpark....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22454081
Must be the Advertiser then as it states " Further player departures are possible over the next two months, should the price be right for the players in question and the club, as Town wind down to a footballing allowance of around £2.4Million which is believed to include backroom salaries "
