So £750,000 not the going rate for good LGE1 players Hmmm.....very good LGE1 players like Cox and Austin went for double that.
They're strikers and strikers always go for more. Name 10 league 1/league 2 midfielders or defenders that have been sold for more than a million. You will struggle.

Best player?  Girl Giggle He's good but he's not that good. League One is probably his level, if he could tackle and shoot better he would play in the championship no problem.

Well if this bollocks rumour is true (which is highly likely) the Poyet obviously doesn't agree. Suspect he's a little better qualified to judge than your good self Fola.

Yeah more than likely as most transfers nowadays are undisclosed.

Nick Powell went for 6million and was a league 2 player.

Nick Bailey 1.5m from charlton to Boro. Also Charlton bought him from southend for 850,000

Fabian Delph 8.4m from leeds to Villa

Andrew Surman Southampton to wolves 1.2m

Franchise sold Keith Andrews to Blackburn for 825,000

These are the only ones i can find that are transfers from league 1 to championship or higher and all these are in the last 5 years or so

Agent Darren just mentioned something about Zavon Hines. Free agent after being released by Burnley. 3 goals in 50 games. Not excatly prolific for a striker...

I signed him for free on FM11 was fucking amazing and got me to the prem.

Sign him up i say.

How about a transfer rumour, instead of an anorak wankfest?

It's probably just me but I reckon we have seen the best of Ferry and that was the League One play off season. He hasn't developed or improved since that season, compared to say Caddis who has got better and better.

Not convinced he is the kind of central midfielder PDC wants either, he's always struck me as an old fashioned box to box midfielder rather than being particularly strong defensively or attacking. Doesn't help that he doesn't score many either.

I'd be happy swapping Ferry for Bostock.

Caddis wasn't here for the L1 play off season.

Ferry made 54 appearances last season. Who made more?

Clearly not Di Canio's type of midfielder then

Makes me laugh how many people think swapping Bostock for Ferry would be a good idea. Bostock had a couple of good games right at the end and that's all a lot of people seem to remember.

They weren't even as a traditional midfielder either for fucks sake.

Hmmmm....hope arrival of Hines does not signal end of negotiations for Bostock - would have thought it quite possible they are with the same agent....

How big a squad do we need? We must be up to 25 already!

Also no sign of a reserve keeper yet. Is McCormick still on trial?
