Fucking cars! My starter motor went on Monday, AA wouldnt pick up as on drive so had to pay for tow. £312 to get fixed, realised last night my oil was low so bought some. Got a 4 litre pack of 5w30 went to put it in this morning, realised it was diesal oil! Fuck sake, rang garage who said I shoudl drive it in. Realised this is a big no no, so they are now towing it in as I havent started the engine so no damage. THis means I am on £450 prior to getting it drained and revfilled. I ahte cars Seriously why do Halford or Castrol more to the point have the same packaging apart from a little word called Diesal  Never mind, my thought and one of those weeks, best do some deals now to pay for it!!! Thought id make some people laugh |

The oil wouldn't have made much difference. As long as it's the right viscosity your engine would've run fine.

Thank fuck! Its the same 0w30 (I thought it was 5w30) My mrs just called to say tow man picked up car drove it onto lorry and drove lorry off. Just spoke to garage who have had to admit any damage is due to driver and will call me later.
Most expensive month ever!

Last time I went to Halfords, the bottles were different colours for petrol and diesel, and for synthetic and part synthetic, not that fucking difficult BB  |

the moral of the story is to pay the little extra to have homestart cover.
i recomend britania rescue as they are cheap as fuck with pretty ace arrival times.
i've had aa,and rac and to be honest britannia beats them with ease as they use a local garage to the area where you have broken down.
