I think in a lot of cases he wanted to get a solid base of a team to build on, hence 2/3 yr deals.

But I think you may be right. He's given the likes of Blackburn who is unproven in the league too long a deal. Then there is the injury prone-ness of Corr etc.

You have to wonder why he didn't give Miguel longer.

Yeah i suppose i can see the sense in that but like you say players like Corr,Sturrock,blackburn,pook we have been lumbered with really when realistically we could replace all of them with ease.
