Could take another step closer to the football league on Saturday when they face Staines in the Ryman League Premier Division play off final. This would leave them only 2 promotions away from the FL.

Good luck to them, great set of supporters who deserve some success.

I personally think that other than the hardcore few who got it started, most them are bandwagon fuckers just like MKD but the opposite, people who like the notion of what AFCW are doing but were never Wimbledon fans.

That Manure ‘toys out of pram when the gnome arrived’ incarnation are also doing well.

Good luck to the AFC though it would be nice to see them get a step closer to the league.

You might think that but it's simply not true. They took pretty much the entire fanbase - bar a couple of hundred who went to Franchise - and they've stayed loyal ever since. Which is why they were getting gates of 2000+ in the Combined Counties League and still are in the Ryman.

They've got 4000 a couple of times too, that is amazing for the level they are.

Love them to go up to the conference soon, then the pox won't be able to bang on about their amazing support.  Which in truth has been impressive this season.

I went to AFC Wimbledon's first home game at Kingsmeadow wearing my Swindon scarf, and I've been watching out for their results ever since.  Aldershot is the blue print.

Thing is, even if it was bandwagon types who supported them, at least they've worked their way up the ladder, like any new club should.
