So who do you think is off then?

Phil Smith- can see him going good enough first choice keeper in this league and I cannot see him wanting to be on the bench again next year.

Vincent, is a 1 year offer going to be good enough to keep him here? Maybe a few league two teams could offer him a 2 yr deal.

Jack smith- same as Vincent and has been making noises already about wanting a 2 year deal.

Comminges- really cant see him staying I hope im wrong though.

I really think that we need to maybe cut our losses with a few players aswel, Roberts,Corr and Sturrock are all players I don’t think we are likely to see a lot of next season for one reason or another.

What do you think and who would you realistically like to see us target playerwise for next season ? one player I would like but I know we would not get is Puncheon from barnet

Think Phil will stay personally and think Comminges is on his way.

The fact that Vincent and Jack Smith are holding out suggest they would  be actively looking for clubs elsewhere.
I would like to keep the two, as well as Comminges and Phil Smith but to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if only one of the four above ended up staying

I know, but whats the point in paying their contracts up when they will both be fit by christmas at the latest I would have thought and both are good players at this level on their day.

If they get injured again let them go at the end of next season when their contracts are up,

it wont cost any more than paying up their contracts, and with a bit of good luck we get 2 good players for the 2nd half of next season

Corr has showed no signs over the last 3-4 years that he can be fit and Roberts would be 3rd choice winger. They are both on decent wages i would imagine so cut your losses as i said

BUT HOW IS PAYING OFF THEIR CONTRACTS "CUTTING YOUR LOSSES"?

IT INVOLVES PAYING THEM IN A LUMP SUM WHAT WE WOULD PAY THEM NEXT SEASON ANYWAY.

Am i getting through to you at all?

Yes you are getting through now try and understand what i am saying. We are going to be paying wages for two players who i would hazard a guess will make 20 appearnces BETWEEN THEM next season then get released at the end of the year so lets pay them off now and get replacements who are not injury prone or fucking pissheads

Possibly save on Pension payments.... on potential bonus payments, which don't have to be written into future players contracts...

The 4 DRS metioned in his first post should all get 2 year deals imo - all worth keeping.

You are having a laugh, get rid of 2 players who hopefully when fit will be a match for anyone in this league, yes we know Roberts is inconsistent, but if he was consistently good he would be in the championship by now, and Corr when he has played has looked a really good player, unfortunetly he has had a few injuries but hopefully when he comes back he can stay fit and make a real difference in the 2nd half of the season, he is a big target man who will probably come good.

I think some people need a realilty check, we are a L1 team with ambitions of promotion, these 2 players are good enough for L1 and Corr possibly for the next level if he stays fit, so to get rid would be a bit daft....and is not something clubs tend to do to injured players - they help them recover and then watch the player pay them back on the pitch for standing by them.

I'm sure I will get flamed for this response though !

you wont get flamed for it but i have put in bold the reasons why, Look how many ifs and buts.

As for standing by players you are Joking right? Do you seriously think This club has not stood by these two players enough already
