So on that basis should everton sack david moyes?

Man City have won 6 games since December.

Everton have won 10 games since December.

Everton have also done well in Uefa Cup, League Cup and are on course to finish 5th in the premiership so to draw a comparison is crazy.

Cant really add anything that hasnt already been said, other than I'm in the Sven has done a decent job this season camp.

Yeah he had money to spend, but city were dire last season and he had a couple of weeks to assemble a squad. Losing 2 quality defenders in recent weeks has hardly helped their form either, they would have won on saturday with Richards & Dunne in the team

There form has been patchy since December not just in recent weeks though and Richards and Dunne have played in some of those games.

Yes thats true. But mid table sides are patchy by nature. I'm not sure how Sven is supposed to have taken a poor side last year any further than upper mid table, even with £40m to spend (which as mental as its sounds to us isnt a spectacular amount by premier league standards) bearing in mind that the sides above them have had both investment and managerial continuety for at least a couple of seasons.

Everton have had the same (good) manager for 3/4 years (?) they have built towards the position they are in now.

I disagree Jan. Last year they played shite football and coulnd;t buy a goal at home. This year, they were in contention for a European place until February, when their cack run started, and in Elano and Petrov they've unearthed two gems. Bianchi wasn't given a chance, while Corluka looks more and more like a decent centre back as the season continues.

Some of the other signings have been poor, but remember this is only their first season. Patrice Evra and Vidic were also poor in their first seasons in England.

Yes he's spent a lot of money, but I thought he did well to create a cohesive team so quickly. Sven is a good manager: fact. He had the nous to attract players, too.

Everton have spent alot less and made more astute signings.  Sven should of looked more at domestic signings he seemed more intent at signing any old johnny foreigner who would obviously take longer time to adapt to the league.

Why is it crazy? they are seven points behind them and its hardly svens fault city are not in europe is it? as colin todd says he has been given a chance to progress which is what sven or any manager should be given.

Yes thats also true, but Sven needed half a squad in a few weeks. Would he have been better off spending £6m each on the likes of Nugent, Chopra or Jones?  Or about that figure each on Elano & Petrov?

Its still massively different David Moyes wasn't given 46 million to spend in his first season and actually spent the first year keeping them in the division since then he has taken them to a champions league place and into europe I would say thats more down to skilled management than spending loads of players.  Moyes signs the right players who he knows will do a job in the premiership Lescott, Jagielka, Phil Neville, Sven should of took a leaf out of his book.

With 2 weeks preparation? What did you think of him as a England manager by the way?
