Only won 6 of his 22 league games since December, there form in the 2nd half of the season has been shocking. Sven is over rated.

Considering they have more points than any other season in the prem he has done a good job, he has lost dunne and Richards so of course he is going to struggle
Fucking stupid decision

Who's gonna want to come in and replace him now? Stupid desicion. Quite a few managers I would imagine, they will be given lots of transfer money like Sven and as long as they sign better players than he did they should get Man City in a good position as Petrov and Elano (at times) aside he has signed some awful players this year.

What is it with this Sven effect on the english general public? He was an average manager for your national team, city have been poor this term, played some dreadful football and yet everyone (including the kj's on MOTD) seem to think the bloke is the best thing since Alf Ramsay.
Not sure whether he deserves the sack but if Sam Allardyce had been City manager and produced identical results I don't think the city fans would be too sad to see the back of the bloke.

I don't think he's the best thing since anything, but City were superb during the first half of the season and have enjoyed their highest finish for years - all this from a aquad that was piss poor last season. I'd say Sven's done a pretty decent job. His England career has nothing to do with it, he's done a good job IMO.

The point is though Jan that he has been Citys best Manager in a long time and he showed that when his players were fit they could produce results

DRS he has also spent alot of money more than most City Managers have been given in years gone by, look at the signings below, most of them flops:
Look at his signings though, nearly 40 million: In: Vedran Valeri Bojinov (Fiorentina, undisclosed), Corluka (Dinamo Zagreb, Undisclosed) , Elano (Shakhtar Donetsk, £8m), Javier Garrido (Real Sociedad, £1.5m), Joe R Bianchi (Reggina, £8.8m), Geovanni (Cruzeiro, free), G Fernandes (Sion, undisc) Petrov (atheltico madrid) Benjani (Portsmouth)

Juddie, city weren't superb earlier in the season, for example at the start of the season they were top after three matches, West Ham at home (where they were lucky to get a point) Derby 1-0, and Man Utd 1-0 where the shouls have been beaten by a cricket score. Yes they've had the good result here and there, but I haven't been that impressed with City at all this year at all. MOTD pundits heap praise on everything they do, without looking at the whole picture.
Couple of edits, one "excellent" to "superb", and two replacing Sunderland with Derby.

Sven was the best manager England have had for years, and wasn't doing a bad job at City. It takes longer than a season to really get your own side together IMO, ridiculous decision.
