It is well worth reading the full judgement of the arbitrators in declining the appeal of Leeds against their (entirely deserved) acceptance in to L1 only on the condition that they started on -15 points.

Interesting stuff - unless you can't face reading about CVA's again!  I can't see why Leeds are still wingeing on as they could have been forced to start last season in League 2 by the look of it.  A compromise was reached that they would be allowed to play in L1 as long as they took a 15 point deduction.  Bates and co agreed subject to being allowed to appeal to the other league members - the majority voted for the deduction.  Also the league could have given them a 20 point ban so they didn't even get the maximum.  Moaning cunts

So lets face facts,

If the FL went strictly to the letter of their constitution, then being leeds could not agree any form of CVA, then one of the two follwing options would have had to apply ;

1) Leeds OldCo went into liquidation

2) Leeds NewCo purchased Leeds OldCo and started off the following season in League 2

THAT IS ACCORDING TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE FL

So, Leeds play up and negotiate through Malwhinney for the FL to use its discretionary powers to enable them to stay in League 1 and accept a 15 point penalty instead of demotion to league 2.

This was agreed by the FL on the understanding that it could be subject to appeal.

Lets face it, Leeds were never ever ever going to win the appeal.

I feel sorry for the fans obviously, but Bates and Taylors arrogance and delaying tactics was the final nail in the coffin.

I think that the F.A. and F.L. should police those in charge of all clubs.

Would you be able to buy a listed building and then knock it down? Same principal applies as even though the majority of clubs are privately owned, all clubs are part of F.A., F.L. and even English heritage.

They should absolutely be kicked out as they bring the game into dis-repute and make a mockery of the authorities.

It's not the fault of the (Any) club, but the fault of a few greedy individuals who remain for a fraction of the time that the club is in existence.

What happened at Brighton for example was a disgrace and the F.L., F.A. whatever should have stepped in.

At the end of the day, any club that generates a debt of 35M quid, which it then seeks to wipe clean by offering its creditors 1p in the pound, deserves everything it gets. The Leeds fans are all blaming HMRC for fucking them over, regardless of the facts they owed 7.7M in unpaid tax alone. You need all creditors to agree to the CVA, and rightly HMRC didn't in this situation. I feel for the fans in some respect, but you reap what you sow.

Frankly, they should have been demoted two divisions, in line with other clubs who attempted similar tactics regarding exiting administration, so they got lucky with -15 points. So shut the fuck up and get on with it.

Does anybody know if the same fate awaits Luton, Bournemouth and Rotherham, who all appear to have similar predicaments (i.e. no agreed CVA to exit administration).
