Having seen Joyce on Saturday, I'd imagine that Fatbury is no longer concerned about Pook potentially leaving, as we have a ready made look-a-like replacement.

In a non gay way I made a point of watching Joyce a lot as I have heard some good things, his awareness and running off the ball was very very good.I don’t think Caton had that awareness and positioning he just had raw pace .

My workmate played against Andy Caton on Staurday. He said he is shit and doesn't have any pace anymore.

Joyce looked handy. Good workrate and for a youngster I thought he looked far from lightweight.

I refuse to judge him on his performance alone, and instead will judge him on previous youth players such as Caton and Alan Young. Therefore he is rubbish, get rid Malpas.

I got him that goal Saturday -

when he missed his first chance I said matter of factly to Bart - see he just hasnt got the quality

and then BANG - top notch quality finish!!

Well done to the lad - he looks a bit Coxyesque in his ways - deserves another go on the bench this weekend thats for sure

oh yeah and I guess if the Rock did leave then Joycey would be a good replacement to follow - I like to back the youth players!

I liked the fact that Joyce didn't hide having missed a decent chance.

I always think this is a top quality in a striker.  Some shrink when they miss a good chance, such a player was Craig Maskell....now Maskell was good but he did sulk a bit, which is maybe why his career never was as good as it might have been.

Chalkie White could and did miss a sackful (see PO game v Sunderland), but he'd always come back for more.  He got more clinical as he got older scoring 29 for Herefrod in 95/96 aged 36/37.

Talking of Maskell to this day the best sound i have ever heard was sound of his shot hitting the post and going in at wembley.

That sound and the sound of a womans orgasm(i think i heard one once)

Craig Maskell used to sulk all the time, i remember that from the 92-93 season. If he didn't get the ball when he thought he should especially, Peterborough away a prime example. Nothing wrong with being greedy but you're right about him Reg.

And about Chalky too, that play-off final was a prime example. We should have had about 6 or 7 that day.

What a sound, like the opening of a beer bottle, the grilling of a burger...guaranteed to raise a smile.
