Frankly, this whinging and whining about the 15 points has gone on long enough.

If they don't get their points back they should be sanctioned or even demoted.

Quite fucking right too.

They signed a contract, as Reginal said, stating they would not take legal action. They've taken legal action, take more points off the norvern monkees for breaking their agreement and give their ground to Bradford.

Maybe we should try and get our division back from 1990?
or even our Uefa cup run from 1970!

From Leeds Utd site:

The arbitration proceedings are entirely confidential and all parties have declined to comment. The hearing is expected to last three days, with a ruling being given by late May.

So does that mean that whoever gets the 2nd automatic promotion place cannot celebrate until the end of May?  :?

It'd have to be before the playoffs were played. Presuming it would affect 2nd place downwards. I haven't looked at the league table for ages so I'm not sure.

Good point.  Before you can start the play off games, you need to know who has finished in places 3 to 6.

At this rate, the Championship might just end up consisting of 25 clubs next season.

I thought FIFA or UEFA had a rule in place that could result in clubs being thrown out of leagues/competitions if they entered into high court to appeal decisions made by domestic authorities? Obviously not........The league should just have threatened to throw them out of the football league altogether as this is the second season on the trot they've made a mockery of English football......

All this does is bring closer the prospect of clubs taking red card appeals and controversial decisions into the courtroom.

Oh and if Leeds win the appeal the football league should just give the other 23 teams a 15 point bonus to cancel it out as I doubt the court ruling would mention anything about other teams getting given points.

The league have really messed up.....Luton and co shouldnt have had points deducted....its not fair on the fans or players when teams get relegated...the muppets who run these clubs dont give a shit, punish the money men who cant run the clubs...i,e how come Sam Parkin whos on big bucks along with Furlong end up at Luton!!!...the league should monitor clubs who are in a mess and vito any deal when its obvious they cant afford these players.

The points deduction is the only way IMO and natural justice to an extent. If the teams hadn't spent the extra money they'd probably have a weaker squad so therefore have less points so swings in roundabouts really.

I see it is now saying that the appeal will go into a 4th day - monday - and that the decisions isn't likely to be revealed until around the end of may, so that means that the play-off's could be gonig ahead with the winner not actually guarnteed to be promoted or whoever finishes 2nd could be dinied.

Surely this is going to thorw the league into a mockery and turn it into a laughing stock.

They need to do somethingto stop this ever happening again..close the appeal loophole so no club can threaten court action, if any club wishes to appeal a decision give them 28 days and then close the case.

I hope they decide that the league was too leniant and that they should have thrown them out the league.

Dream on!

This is going to make a complete laughing stock of the league. If Leeds finish in the play-offs, presumably they will have to play those games. If they were to lose, but then be given 2nd place in the league and thus automatic promotion, what would happen to the team that originally finished 2nd and the team that won the play-offs?!

It's a shambles and if there's one club I WOULD like to see made an example of, it would be Leeds.
