I bought my PC a couple of years back with Windows XP pre-installed on it. Apparantly its on a hidden partition on my hard drive. I installed Vista and want to take it off, how can i access the hidden partition and re-install XP.

Cheers in advance..

So did XP work before you installed Vista?

I think you've overwritten XP anyway, I think you have to do a few other things to be able to have Vista and XP on the pc at the same time and then be able to select which on to boot on startup.

Get your recovery disks that came with the computer, format the hard drive and re-install XP.

If you don't have a disk then you should at least have a sticker on the back of the pc with your XP license key on. Then a helpful chap such as myself can burn you a copy of XP and you can use that license key when you re-install.

If you're going to the Merlin before Vale I'll burn you a copy of XP and you can use the license key you have after you have formatted and installed it  Smiley

If you like.
