Real-ly? Neville will be proud of you. I've always thought it a bit crap that half the clubs in Spain are called Real. I'm sure there's a good reason for it, but you'd expect more imagination from the Iberians. The boy is showing promise. All I know is that Real is the Spanish equivalent of Royal. Perhaps the former monarchy were heavily involved in the early days of Spanish footy, who knows, or perhaps it's a regional thing when teams (formerly armies) represented local nobility ? On a not very related note, why do so many teams in the UK have the suffix "United" ? |
