Parkin is on Championship wages in div 3 now.

Luton will be desperarte to sell. Its up to Parkin to see if he wants to take a wage cut.

Mind you if it would of cost 500k to pay the 3 Amigos off, I wonder how much Paynter and McGovern are on?

It won't be huge amounts, they were Sturrock's choices - BEST just funded them.

Not sure whether he's suggesting he's off or not (reading between the lines)

Yawn. I really don't want him to come back. There must be oh so many strikers available without living in the Parkin past.

Now's not the time to look back we should be looking forward, although I wouldn't turn Sam down should he come a begging (which isn't gonna happen).

Not sure about this living in the past thing. Unfortunately we never had a regular goal scorer last season (Cox was the closest thing to it). That might be why the fans are keen to have him back? Youve move someone on sometimes to get someone else in.

LucienSanchez, you say there must be so many strikers around. Then how come Colchester just paid £400,000 for a player worth about £150,000? Gills just signed Mark McCammon on a 3 year deal. Although to be fair that is in a class of its own of stupidness.

I take your point, it's just i'd like to think that our scouting repetoire could extend further than people who were once good for us... i'm positive there are more strikers from reserve teams above us, Scotland, Europe who we could be getting in on trial.

5 goals from 12 starts, that equivalent to about 19 goals a season if he played the whole season, not bad returns for an injured player. Yes I know I am ignoring his sub appearances as he wasnt fully fit for those games.

if he was within our wage structure(or agreed to be) and is fully fit and over his injuries,
we should at least be enquiring about him.
infact i'd stretch the wages a bit to secure him as he's worth more than any of the other players
