I rememebr watching Town play in a friendly against Swansea at the old Vetch field about 12 years ago. I was sitting right near the dugout, so asked some fella in a Town tracksuit for his autograph. Turned out to be Eddie Buckley (I didn't have a clue who he was at the time!) and he did look a little shocked to be asked!

Peacock's been here 2 minutes, what makes you think he "loves" STFC?

Peacock's been here 2 minutes, what makes you think he "loves" STFC? Was wondering that myself! He does seem like a chap who'll give his all for the club, possibly more so than he has for others, but "loves the club" is pushing it a tad

Anyone who thinks Peacock loves this club wants to cast their mind back to his Bristol City days.

Anyone who thinks Peacock loves this club wants to cast their mind back to his Bristol City days. That's what I was thinking Dave. Sure he enjoys his time here, which is a credit to the bloke but to say he loves Swindon is going OTT a little.

He was a lovely bloke, no time for idiots and spoke his mind.
Met him many times and he was always polite and pleasant, such a shame he died how he did.
RIP Sir.

Dare I say it, from back in the day, "there's only one Jimmy Savile" popular with opposition fans at the time.
An innocent enough chant at the time.
RIP and don't think that the club was ever the same after his tragic passing.
