Paul, you know what I was getting at.

I know and I was being an arse for the sake of it tbh but then when I did a quick look-up to check what proportion of taxes did go to dole, I was surprised to find it wasn't more readily accessible. And shocked how much does go on benefits tbh

Unfortunately when this has been tried in the past its proved very unpopular for some reason, the average fella and his missus like the fact that your Abramoviches and Frank Sinawatras  find our country attractoive for tax purposes.

Back in the halcyon days of the late 60's early 70's there was much gnashing of teeth and wailing on the factory floors when the likes of  The Rolling Stones had to move and  buy up French chateaux,  because of the tax they had to pay.in Britain.

i dont mind paying.but i mind all the cunts that get something for nothing.if the dss payments to scum were stopped, we'd have to pay less.

Let's take me for example. I've paid tax on my income and a bit of national insurance now and again when I've been working. But generally I've consistantly been unemployed or a student.

Are you saying that people like me should be left to fend for themselves? Because I've got no problem with a few rich (and my rich I mean anybody with money) muggings if I was desperate. Do I still have the right to not die from a curable disease? Or do you think because I've haven't paid enough tax I should be left to die?

there is no reason for you to live the lifestyle you do.you are a bright fella but are a waster at the same time.you choose to live the life you do and thats fair enough. but why should i and other tax payers fund anything for you?
you shouldn't be left to die. but people that pay their way should be treated before you if the need was there.

I know this didn't start as a tax dodging thread - but the people who really piss me off are some of the self-employed in this country.

Painters & Decorators, Builders, The Handymen of this world are at the top of the list, never short of cash, and NEVER in their lives have they declared all they have earned.

How many jobs have you had done around your house and if you know them they will always give you one price for cash and the other through the books? Of course most people will take the cash price option, no VAT and at least 10% off on top.

I'm all in favour of mates rates, having a friend who's a mechanic has saved me a shed load over the years!

Don't have a problem with the amount of tax etc that I pay, just annoyed at where much of it seems to be distributed.

Yes my next door neighbour with his £45,000 extension has saved shed loads as well paying cash, talking to the builder, he will be having his fifth holiday in Lanzarote in a year at his villa he purchased three years ago, apparently he had to get rid of the cash somehow.
Some say good luck to them of course, but who pays in the end, your honest working man.

As the government spend around £90bn on the NHS, £33bn on defence and £74bn on education, it's more like £15 a week you pay to those cunts sat on the sofa. You're lashing out slightly more to those cunts looking after sick people and those cunts trying to teach kids stuff. Bastards!

Edit: more seriously, we do spend a shocking amount on benefits although not all of it goes on whatever the hell they call the dole these days (there's a fair whack goes to child poverty, tax credits for working families, child support, stuff for pensioners etc). And after a quick 10-minute google I couldn't actually find a simple breakdown of UK govt spending. Like a simple "where your money goes" table. Anyone better at googling care to try digging one out?

It's a bit outdated but gives you a rough idea.

Reg, i'm afraid you get underclass everywhere  :x

I know for a fact that the folks on my round who don't work are just plain lazy bastards.

At the other end of the scale, I deliver to the stinking rich who have earnt their money by hard graft and are nice people.

The worse type is people who have come into money, new money if you like.
