Ah right i get ya. Why not just get some uber big company to sponsor the whole ground instead. Surely that would get us more money

Dont work with old grounds.

I know people who will still call it the Intel next season.  Soapy Tit Wank

Fantastic gesture. Hopefully this board can make this club an entity worth playing for again. Not a piece or bog roll for the misuse of players/agents/dodgy racing people/property developers.

The romance around STFC has been pretty much rock bottom since the McMahon era.

Dont work with old grounds.

You're bang on about that and actually for that reason it can be a bit of a win-win. The club gets a truckload of cash in return for some notional naming rights and spends the rest of the period of the deal vainly insisting the grounds now called the "Hypermart MegaDeal Stadium" while no-one else takes any notice and carries on calling it the County Ground. The tradition remains intact but the club still benefits

The Four stands should be named:-

The Billie Piper Stand
The Diana Dors Stand
The Melinda Messenger Stand
The Longest Serving Player Stand

All of them named after Trollopes.

You could get a job at Dunwoody hatching wishful thinking plans of how to rip money men off with plans like that.

Lets face it if you and me know that 'the Reebok' works and 'the Matchroom stadium' doesnt, then some marketing bloke with an MA at Cambridge on 90k a year might realise it as well.

My favourite is the 96.6 TFM Darlington Arena. Just rolls off the tongue.
