Ben will be upset, but as he won't be up for another few hours, it won't really matter.....

They should use white and red seats to make an image of his face in the stand.

Now that would be impressive.

If I keep my current seat I will be sat on top of his head.

Great decision. This board have done no wrong in my eyes yet. I'd also like to see John Trollope involved as a club amabassador also.

I agree Lebowski, do what Preston have done with the Tom Finney stand, it looks very impressive.

Now that would be a fitting tribute to "The Don".

Its still a great accolade to DR and very fitting, well done Mr Fitton, I take my hat off to you.

Better still, how about a montage covering the whole stand of Don tearing apart the Arsenal defence at Wembley?

Excellent decision by the board.  The club is finding its heart again.

Hmmm....without the stand being named after a sponsor how much money are we missing out on?

Is it alot, or will we still get sponsorship and it'll be called the the betfair don rogers stand or something?

Yep, fair play to naming it the Don Rogers Stand. I'm all for that. The club still has the option of inserting a sponsor's name if necessary.

So, this begs the question, what about the other stands then?

I would go for:
John Trollope
Lou Macari
Danny Williams

Can't they sponsor the town end stand instead?

Thats right. Im guessing you can't get another company to sponsor the arkells, so that just leaves the stratton bank open to a name change

If we managed to fill in some of the empty pitch-side advertising hoardings then this would more than off-set the £20k a year we're no longer getting from Kingswood.

Plus, we'd have new shirt sponsors anyway.

What about Harry Morris? Do we have any tributes for him? (I can't think of any at the mo) Along with Fleming and Rogers he was one of the greats for Swindon.

I'm on about next season and a higher profile sponsor.

Bit like when the Adver sponsored it, used to be called the Swindon (Evening?) Advertiser town end, do that bit with a higher profile name.

Just not the Floors 2 Go stand

Aren't some of the VIP boxes named after those people?
