that still doesnt make sense, because Sun knows the Jin didnt die in the crash....because she got pregnant after the crash.....to the rest of the world Jin died in the plane crash but surely Sun knows full well he didnt....he obviously wasnt one of the 6 to get off the island....so is he actually dead....or still on the island?

That's something we just don't know yet, he could be dead, he could just be left on the island stuck in 1996.

Also, maybe I missed it....but how did you know Franks flash forward was 2007? did they give a date on which the 'plane and bodies' were found?

I can't remember exactly, I read it somewhere. It was the scene where he's sat in a hut watching TV and sees the underwater footage. It either mentions the date on TV or on the newspaper he's reading.

but if Jin gets stuck in 1996 then he cant get to 2004 then he cant be the father of the baby, but if its 1996 he isnt dead for another 8 years....yeah I know it makes zero sense I just like this cool hidden typing stuff and the quote boxes are actually white as well which makes it better

I think.....the bit I didnt understand was the date on Jins grave was the date of the plane crash.

Like you, I dont think we'll ever get answers....I mean the writers cant possibly link it all together. The crash, the fake crash, the dharma stuff, the hatch, the button, the polar bear, the black smoke, the others, the under water thingy, the boat, the gas stuff....

In the flash-forwards, the "rescued" (Oceanic 6) are spinning the story that only 8 people survived the plane crash, with 6 of them being rescued. Aaron (Clare's baby), Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sun and Sayid being the survivors, and 2 other as-yet-un-named being those who died.

So, as far as the outside world knows, Jin died when the plane crashed.

I would like to think that the writers have a definitive ending in mind, but suddenly fucking about with viewers by mixing flash-forwards and flash-backs, suggests to me that they are making it up as they go along.
