I was just wondering, is it now compulsory to constantly refer to our no.9 as 'Super Sam'?
It just seems a bit gay, that's all.

If not, perhaps he should change it by deed-poll like that wierdo 'Swindon Dave' or whatever he changed his name to.
I think when he leaves we should retire the Super Sammy Parkin song for ever more, no other player with a suitably fitting name could ever possibly live up to it. It should only be sang upon Sam's return to the CG in whatever capacity that may be.

Sammy "the showman" has to be the worst nickname of all. If I was Igoe I'd squirm with embarassment every time the announcer shouts it out. Fuck me I'd pick on him in training if I was a fellow player.

Sammy 'The Showman' Igoe. Yes that is indeed a bit of a toe curler. It's not like he's even that much cop really!
If it was Wayne 'The Showman' Rooney or Jo 'The Showman' Cole that would still be a bit embarassing but at least there would be some justification for it.
People who say 'Oooooh, Super Sam' are definitely gayers though :twisted:
