In replacement for the tradional Sunday spit roast in the dazzza household we now have a takeaway system that operates on a weekly Sunday rota.

Tonight is curry night but it begs the question what's the Daddy of the takeaways?

I have to say favourite is a good Keema Madras with chips and Garlic Nahn.

But the Daddy of takeaways for me goes to the good old English chippy.

Nothing beats fish and chips and it's in and out no fuss.  Far to much waiting around watching crap TV (Chinese especially) while you wait a painfull age for your food to appear.

Plus in hangover mode I like to keep social contact with the public down to a minnimum and I tend to talf crap and ask for things like a can of can't (League of G) instead of a can of coke.  Can of cock a few years back in the chinese was a new career low fortunately the woman who looks like a plucked chicken didn't understand.

Sounds cracking tht Sussex.

The meat pizza is superb especially with Jalapenos on to spice it up a treat.

I once experimented and got the Turkish man to add Donner to a meat pizza but it just didn't seem right in the end.  Goes along with the chips, cheese, gravy and donner mix I once had one experimental day.  The man just looked at me said was I sure and handed me a tray of heart attack.  Was not pretty the whole thing curdled and was like a hot greasy jelly.

I had a sausage and chips from the chippy on the way back from the Merlin yesterday, it was ace... Not a proper English chippy though.

I have never seen the like of the Chippy/Chinese near us at Uni in Chester.

Used to be a tradional Englishhhhhhh affair but they added a Chinese counter.  A 90p portion of chips from the chippy side was monstorous, literally the size of a football and this was the small size.

Plus to be fair they where spot on.

papa johns is rank, as illustrated by sussex's picture. their crust-dipping sauce is like garlic flavoured custard.

domino's all the way, large texas bbq please with an extra tub of whatever that sauce is (chive & onion?).

subway isn't open late-night near me, but they rule also.

Shut up OF, that's absolute tosh. Maybe the Norwich branch is just shite!? (I never use the dips anyway)

Agree about Domino's though but my nearest one is a bit far away, and when they deliver it's a tad cold.

Must say I prefer you're taste in take-aways to football teams  Wink
