Not the job advert but the info contained within the article.

Complete refurb of club shop planned for close season, ticketing may be placed inside shop, new "head of retail".  Introduction of "proper stock controls".

My word, sounds like we may have a well run club shop at last!!Apologies of already posted

When I saw that I wondered about the current stock control system (if any), wouldn't surprise me if there were hundreds of ins and not very many outs officially!

I hope they are going to have a complete revamp of the club shop website as well as that has been crap for years and hardly updated, people outside swindon struggle to buy anything because only a few things are advertised, if everything that was on sale in the club shop was on the website it would be so much better, I'm sure they have plans to sort this out anyway i would have thought.

With one of the betfair men on board I'm pretty sure they'll know someone with a bit of webdesign/e-commerce skills behing them. Assuming we aren't tied into a contract with someone else...

Yes, Jeremy Wray mentioned it at the Trust meeting as one of the things they're targetting to sort out.

The website is definitely the area needing most improvement.

I assume AF&co will be doing their best to try and maximise revenue streams, the club shop, ticketing and on-line versions of both must be up high on their priority list.

Whilst the guys running the shop have been loyal seravnts to the club etc. It makes perfect sense now to have a total overhaul and run the shop professionally, with good stock and good staff.  The online side needs a boost too, but all the right noises are being made so it bodes very wel in the long term.  It's be nice if the OS could be perked up too, it's ver red and not at all user friendly IMHO.

I don't know there's a lot they can do about that, it's central contract the FL have negotiated with PTV to provide all League clubs' websites. Have a look around they've pretty much all got this over-busy "portal" look like ours does.

In the scheme of things, i.e. small differences being made towards big improvement (can't remember the oriental name), is there any visible evidence of progress? Things like changing seats to all red will probably have to be done close season perhaps, but I just wondered if you can SEE any changes.
