How is the coaching handled these days, could this be down to our recent slight slump ?
Under Sturrock we had experienced coaches, Blackley that coached the defenders and the defence certainly looked tight, and then Summerfield looking after the others with Sturrock occaisonaly (sp ?) joining in or he would be on the sidelines watching the players.
Matchdays Sturrock would always leave Blackley in the stands to watch the game from a different prospective and at times he also watched from the stands.
Now we have Byrne who's main experience has been with the youth's or college football and Williams who has no coaching experience
And who produced some good results when they were in caretaker charge.
Am I the only one who's fed up of people constantly looking back to the Sturrock era with rose-tinted spectacles? We are now what we were when Sturrock was in charge - an inconsistent mid-table side.
