Dear god please no. I can take crap results, decades of financial missmanagement, etc, etc. But for the love of god nooooo. I am a peaceful person, but drums at football make me want to stab the drummer. http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/display.var.2078500.0.0.php
SWINDON Town are calling for the County Ground to get rocking to the promotion beat as they make their final push towards League One's play-offs.
The club are appealing for an official drummer' to help crank up the volume at Saturday's crunch clash with Leeds United in an attempt to help close the eight-point gap on the top six.
A bumper crowd is already guaranteed against the former English giants with the Robins also calling for all fans to turn out in club colours to make the County Ground a banging atmosphere.
The club believe a wall of noise and colour can only help drive Maurice Malpas's men on as they prepare for crucial back-to-back home games, knowing their push for the play-offs has to start now.
A near sell-out crowd is expected and, after a understandably subdued atmosphere last weekend, boss Malpas is urging the Swindon faithful to play their part.
He said: "Our supporters have been fantastic since I have been here and they deserve a tremendous amount of credit for that. They have followed us both home and away in numbers and we are lucky to have them.

"If there is a Swindon fan, or fans, who would like to bring a drum into the game this weekend then please get in touch - we would love to have you at the ground this weekend to get everyone going."
Anyone who can get their hands on a drum and who believes they can raise the roof for Saturday should contact the club on 0844 8801102 for more details.
For those who have not got a drum though, the more noise you can make the better, to make the place an intimidating place to come for Gary McAllister's men.

Noooo way - I remember a few seasons ago soem youg lad used to turn up with a drum and it was quite close to me - I threatened to stick it up his arse if he carried on drumming near me.....needless to say he stopped
But I have no problems with drums or any instrument at football as long as they are segragted (sp ?) on their own so others down have them banging right next to them or close to them.

Best bit of Reading v Villa on Sunday was a Reading fan started drumming away two mintues later Villa scored, drumming over, nice.
Drums are not for football, nor are that annoying Wednesday band who think they are some sort of celebrities.
Having said that I do enjoy the bagpipes being played at Scotland matches but I think that's because bagpipes are part of Scottish heritage.
