Right I'd like to make my serious point for the night, albeit in the pisstake thread...

... As I was thinking, the irony of all this Mr Vowles, is I remember the first home game we got beaten after Wise left, in the Merlin car park, and you were on a right fucking rant about how we had to get Sturrock in in 24 hours, eberything was shit and we were going down.

that was different, as we didnt actually have a manager at the time.

My point in that rant was, a team needs a manager and Sturrock was the best available option.

This time we've got a manager who has been here a few weeks!

Maybe I've forgotten then overall jist of it, you did go on a bit

I remember it well, and I did

people need to realise we are a mid-table team at best, meaning we are very inconsistent, we never win away at Oldham/Carlisle etc so tonight is a decent result, cos we are inconsistent we will have results like the Walsall game but also results like Forest at home.

we've won 2 and drawn 2 of our last 4 games at Oldham!

That can't be true. I'm sure we lost 1-0 last time at their place.

2-2

we were 2-0 through Sean O'Hanlon and Neal McDermott

they bought on Luke Beckett and were 2-2 shortly after

after we went 2-0 up DMR/Sonic nearly threw me into the home fans during the celebration!

That was ace, Fallon missing the penalty and their keeper making about 74 saves before it went in.

we were ace, we're gonna walk this league, we deserve to be in the premiership and have some stars and stuff on our shirts.

I think as we've won this league, we should be able to have a star on our shirt.....oh and another one when we play in the LC.

I think there would be a lot of teams with a lot of stars on their shirts.

Everybody loves stars....how good was it getting a gold star at primary school.

not to mention smiley faces.

No smiley faces when I was at primary school....nobody smiled in the 50's....and everything was black and white

what happened to those photos in the 60s - did they turn into colour ones?

[subtext]can you remember which film / book this subject was covered in?[subtext]

 ^^ No.

Paint and acrylic dyes and stuff were invented in 1961, toothpaste and dentistry in 62.
