Franck Ribéry and Luca Toni would have to be in there if we are looking at the best players at the moment.

I can see this thread will annoy me. So i'd have to go for some kind of stupid line up, purely for the sake of it being interesting to watch this team play.

Code:

                                                 Cech

                                        Ferdinand       Vidic

                        Ronaldo                 Gerrard              Messi
                             |       Rooney       Kaka        Henry     |
                             \/           Torres        Ibrahimovic    \/

Many of them can occupy the left though? Certainly in my team anyway, but then there isn't really a left, just a goal and 8 people all trying to score! Cheesy

Just tried to provide some positional sense, to some degree. I'd like to play them in kind of a flat front 7 with Stevie G following in. Cheesy It'd be like watching Sunday league, but funny, crazy and mindless non the less.

i dont watch enough world football to make a fair judgement.
i have noted the lack of south american players picked. there would be a few in a worlds best team for sure.

I've gone for an over rated World XI, haven;'t given it much though and was struggling a little, so apologies if certain players not in correct position.

GK - Dida
LB - Roberto Carlos
CB - Zebina
CB - Rigobert Song
LM - Harry Kewell
CM - Edgar Davids
CM - Mikel John Obi (slightly harsh)
RM - Diouf
CF - Raul
CF - Inzaghi

That's a good point Adje, I think I started that list as a piss take, then changed my mind to a over rated XI half way through!!

As should Lampard. the worlds deepest lying striker, who has little other use

and Ibrahimovic.  Is it just me or has anyone else never seen him have a good game?   his record means he's clearly not shit but he's always usless when i have watched him.
