So there am I, lying in bed, watching a film, planning to fall asleep any minute. When Boom Boom Boom, 3 loud bangs I hear comeing from downstairs. Up I jump, grabbing my dressing gown and jumping down the stairs. Chucking all the lights on and then down some more stairs.
By the time I get there Mr. Not very quiet robber has gone. My back door isn't in a very good state. Although it held out well against the invasion. I think the bloke probably legged it before I got downstairs or turned the lights on as the banging seemed to have stopped by the time I'd found my dressing gown. Well done back door.
Happy days.
I really could do with some fags now. The excitement is too much.

That's the thing with burglar's, no consideration that other people may be trying to sleep.
Glad they didn't get in though, definitely worth reporting. Hope you got some sleep, not sure I would have.

That's the problem with living in a dodgy area.

I might be able to get a bottle of wine out of my mum for my heroics.

I really could do with some fags now. The excitement is too much. Did he raid your money box or tamper with your beer supply. Bloody hell this guy must have come from Oxford to rob your place.

I had one a couple of years ago.
I was living in a house that backed out directly onto the beach at the time, and our maid knocked on the door freaking out cos there was somebody trying the handles outside.
We went down and surpiringly the guy was still there, only this time he looked a bit shocked at seeing me (A bloke) and quickly scarpered after shouting something about him having the wrong house.
My misses got on the blower to the old bill and in what seemed like seconds they where at the front door, it seemed as though the whole fucking station turned and and some of them even had rifles.
The followed the footprints in the sand, but never caught the guy. But that was a well dodgy area to live (Banglamung, Pattaya), and we had to make a rule that NOBODY went out at night alone.
