I thought Finnan, Gerrard, Kuyt and Aurelio all had good games.

Gerrard seemed to hold the team together, helped keep possession, Finnan got forward on several occasions and did well and Kuyt and Aurelio just generally worked hard.

I'll never know how the lino didn't see the Viera handball as it was quite blatently a penalty.  I also think a talking to would have sufficed for Materazzi before dishing out a red card as seemed a bit soft to me.

Ref was a bit too whistle happy at times and didn't really let it flow.  Fair play to the inter fans clapping through the whole of "You'll Never Walk Alone" but a great result for Liverpool.

They were the better side by a mile, even before Materazzi got sent off, and were rewarded for their patience.

The game reminded me of us vs Swansea, just without the 97th minute equaliser :-)

Talking of Swansea, see Franchise won 1 nil last night in the first leg of the JPT.  This is the only one occasion where I can honestly say that I want Swansea to win anything - just to prevent Franchise from getting anywhere.
