Taibi, rebrov, vega, boogers, silenzi (?), brolin and dia all played in the premiership.

Is that rovers that mirandinha played for? Or grimsby?

Here is a little list of some totally crap foriegn imports in the top division, not sure how many have been in the Premiership...possibly Taibi I think but otherwise I think they were pretty much all pre premier days and all were in the name of the last player on the list "DIRE"!

Massimo Taibi - Man Ure
Sergie Rebrov - Spurs
Carlton Palmer - Sheff Weds
Claudio Marangoni - Sunderland
Ramon Vega - Spurs
Alberto Tarantini - Brum
Marco Boogers - West Ham
Andrea Silenzi - Nottm Forest
Tomas Brolin - Leeds
Ally Dia - Southampton

The same Carlton Palmer who was actually English and played for England?

oops I see you spotted my deliberate mistake!  Oops I was miles away think of crap players, my bad.

Rebrov was quite recent I think.

How about Dider Six - didn't he play for Birmingham as well ?

In the early 1980s two dutch players were signed by Bobby Robson when he was manager at Ipswich, great players and probably the start of the foreign influx to our leagues.

Arnold Muhren and Frans Thijssen
Living in East Anglia at that time Dell.  Great players, but Ipswich had a really good footballing side in those days.
