Any snooker players on here?  I used to play quite a lot and was not too bad but have not played for ages!  I do like watching the snooker on tv and it was good to watch Williams get his 147 yesterday! cracking stuff!

Reached the semi-finals of the uni championship many years ago which could be somehow related to the crap performance in my exams. Highest break on a full-size table was about 40, but I once got 81 on a 6ft table at home.

Still watch on tv sometimes, but it's not the same without Alex Higgins.

Love the snooker, missed the 147 though.  pissed me off a bit.  Think they showed it on the highlights at the same time as MOTD was on last night.

My highest break is 51 on a 3/4 sized table  Cool

Ronnie'll win it if he can be arsed, same old story.

I am hoping Jimmy White can win it for once. Is he still in it?

i love snooker, and pool. partly 'cos i'm ace at them.

my dad played jimmy white when he was younger, at the morris motors club in cowley. the whirlwhind kicked his arse and was only a teenager at the time.

the snooker room at that club, which has 4 full size tables, is awesome. all members have a key for the door and everything's well-worn.

Is that what would have been known as the Social Club at Rover in the 90's, big place right in the heart of the works?
