getting a new motor for my 21st, got a skinny budget of 1,500 quid.
few criteria in mind, can't be too powerful (less than 1.4) to keep the insurance nice and low. also must be sub 60k mileage.

most likely candidates it seems are fiat punto, bravo or VW polo.
any thoughts on them or any suggestions of other cars (preferably not a 106)

thanks in advance chaps

I'm only 19 Dex, and I drive a 1.6 and the insurance is only 550 notes. Not too bad.

Bought a T reg Astra from here last August. It's cars that won't make the profit they're after on dealership forecourts. Most (if not all) come with six months warranty. Quite a few on there in your price range. Couple of minutes walk from Three Bridges station.

Turned up, had a mooch around, and was driving it away twenty minutes later.

may I add they let you drive it away un-insured and un-taxed. Not very professional and also you've had a few stupid problems with it.  I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole myself.

Adtrader is the best place to start looking.
