My dad thinks since Henry left and gone to Barcelona and is having a bad game tonight, that Adebayor brings so much Attacking quality to the Arsenal frontline. Especially with his height and how much of his goals with his power in the air.

Discuss.

Adebayor is on form at the moment, but hasnt proved/disproved that its a fluke.

Carry on this form for another year then we'll make the comparison with Thierry Henry.

i agree DV but i think think scot was more about the type of player they are, ie Adebayor big strong good in the air and hold it up rather than Henrys all out pace

he is a fine player, one of the finest forwards in the prem for sure.pace, power and touch.
i dont think he is quite up there with henry myself.
but 2 things he has over henry are physical presence and the abilty to head the ball.arsenal score from crosses now which they rarely did when henry was there.
written off by most, arsenal could win the league this season?
despite henry being the better player, arsenal are aguablly a better side without him.

he's undoubtedly on form at the moment but i still recon he lacks class, you see him with the ball and he's nowhere near henry in terms of ability.
Even the comparisons with kanu are nigh on ridiculous, he's a big centre forward, something arsenal have been missing for over a decade, but world class he aint.

he's completely different, he's direct and scores goals, i would say kanu is/was more technically able than adebayor... but i guess its goals that matter.

just because he's skinny and black with a boxhead people compare them.

Adebayor is immense. A different class to any other player i that league, makes Rooney look like Blair Sturrock on his day. Note his consistency, to call it a fluke would be outrageous.

Playing in a team that creates chances helps.

One player that has surprised me is Rogue Santa Cruz. Always touted as having the ability but never really been that great. He's been good this year.

Got to agree he's been unlucky with injuries but I didn't expect him to adapt quite so well as he has done.  Absolute bargain to boot.
