I am currently typing up a CV.

Am I right in thinking that each word in a job title should start with a capital letter? I.E.: Branch Manager as opposed to branch manager ect.

Or did I make that up?.............. Reg?

I wouldn't say it's good grammar to do that, but it certainly looks better IMO.

See if you can find somewhere where they've produced something with it written down and see what they go for.

I suppose it depends on the structure of the sentence/passage and how much emphasis you want to put on it.

To simplify, I don't really know.

What Sam Said Is Correct I Think.

In a written sentence it would be lower case, for a CV it would be fine.

(wait for Neville or Reg)

Yeah you should as stuff like 'Branch Manager' is a title and the important nouns should all be in capitals as they define the heading.

Titles get capital letters, whereas if it's a generic description it's lower case. As in "I was Branch Manager for four years" as opposed to "Tescos are looking to employ more branch managers". Now write it out in full on the board 50 times.

Well iv'e sent it now.

I settled for the caps, either way Branch Manager or branch manager it's hardly a huge error (If it is an error).

I already have an interview tomorrow anyway and am confident because I am well qualified for the job. The chap that I spoke to on the phone, and arranged an interview with me actually said that a CV is irrelevant to them anyway, they just need a cv for the red-tape involved in the work-permit process. Still, if a jobs worth doing and all that.

Fuck me I hope that I get the job, if I don't find another job soon then I am going to end up telling my current boss to shove it, but I need the money.
