We seemed to be all looking forward to a stable club when the takeover went through, but what do you want now?
The reason that this isn't a poll is because I'm going to lead the question like fuck.
I can't even be arsed with questions.
Any other club which had been taken over mid season with a new manager would be happy looking at his new squad and taking time sorting it out.
Oh no. Not at Swindon. We might have had a Christmas savior, and we might have a new manager. But we ain't giving them any time. We want instant signings and we want them now.
Seriously. Any other club which lost there manager and was in limbo until January would be happy with mid-table squad rebuilding.
I have to come to the conclusion that Swindon fans are more stupid than other fans.

I'd go with picky and ambitious.
I'm happy with a top half finish and if we scrape the play-offs all the better.

we deffo have plenty of mongs following the town. but with new multi millionaires now owning the club,is it wrong to have higher ambitions? i cant help thinking that a move elsewhere and cash in agenda is still on the cards. maybe the new owners had more to deal with and paid up more? we dont know and the wills still have a stake.i reckon it aint as clear as we would like to think it is.

I think if this was another club they'd be doing exactly the same.
I'm waiting for the man from the Grolsch adverts to be official spokesman for the club.

I understand where Arriba and Si are coming from, but a few months ago we were looking at survival being the best option. With the amount of turn-a-round behind the scenes do you really think we should be going play-off mentall? Especially when we still have the BEST players kicking about.

Um I wasn't agreeing with anyone. I think we should be happy if we finish mid table. We've got the potential for play offs this season but I think we will finish mid table and we will get better on and off the pitch as time wears on.

Personally I want Fitton and co to run this club properly. I don't necessarily want them to come in and splash the cash (via a relatively inexperienced manager).
They need to get the club back on it's feet first, and then we can move forward on solid foundations.
I am quite willing to let them use the remaining 3 months of the season as a settling in period.
In the summer I'll expect more activity and then next season we can laucnch a play off/promotion attack.

Best thing is to consolidate this year, look at the playoffs as a bonus if we achieve it, and hope that Swansea, Leeds and Forest go up, leaving no potential big spenders in the division (depending on who drops down of course)
Then we should be able to compete in all aspects.

Lets not forget that Fitton has said that he wants a Championship club in a few years time, not by the start of next season.
I believe that Cox wolud be a bonus but if it doesn't happen then it doesn't happen!!
Take our time, build over the close season and see what happens next season. Lets not forget, Luggy changed a lot of things bringing in his players for the success we gained, it wasn't done over night. MM hasn't had a chance to do this attract his real targets.
