Anyone have any idea why it doesn't seem to want to install on the p.c.
It's windows XP. I think.

No, I put the disc in and nothing happens.
But it's fine on the laptop.

If I had a copy I'd have a bit of a play.

Have you tried compatability mode?

Right click on the shortcut you use, select properties. There should be a compatability tab. Click on it and tell it to run in windows 98 compatability mode.

Although this won't help if you can't even get it to install.

Need more information about what happens for that I think.

I put the disc in, it sounds as if its going to load up, the little egg timer pops up etc.
But then nothing happens.

Have you tried running the setup program directly from the cd?

Do what Ben said.

Go Start > Run > type D:\setup.exe and see what happens.

Could i be anything to do with disc space?
A little thing popped up in bottom right corner saying it's full or something.

You might be running out of disk space but I probably wouldn't just stop it running without anything happening.

Did you try Sam's instructions?

it might. A setup.exe program prepares to install by copying temporary files to the hard disk. Try emptying your temp directory.

c:\documents and settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temp

be aware you will have to show hidden files to do this:

in explorer go to tools, options, click on the view tab, and make sure hidden files and folders are shown.

Also, empty your recycle bin and remove any programs you don't need.

For a guy who works in IT, I think that's the first time you've ever posted IT help John  Cheesy

And by the way, my sister said can you please stop eating your girlfriends face in front of everybody else in the staff canteen.
