Well it's better than getting McGhee or Souness.  Not that over the moon about the appointment, but he'll get my 100% backing.

All the best George!!

Ha ha, I was listening to 5Live the other night when McGhee let the cat out of the bag about Burley getting the job. Priceless.

I'm actually very pleased with that appointment.

Has done a pretty good job wherever he has been and was definitely the pick of the Scottish managers interested in the role.

Keep up the good work done by Smith and McLeish, onwards and upwards.....hopefully  Beers

I've always rated Burley as a manager, hope Scotland give him every chance, he has a very hard act to follow.

you would have been happy with McGhee?  Really?  I wouldn't.

As for the drink problem?  Never been confirmed but rumours will not go away.

Judas?

Terry Buchaaaaaaaaaaaaa (no future) looks set to be the new Scotch Egg number two.

Given his record in management I'm not sure if England should disown him or shake him by the hand.

I can't confirm Burley has a drink problem but when I was at Uni in Derby, he was manager of the Rams and he would be out on 2/3 student nights a week perving over all the girls!  :-))(

Don't think he'll be able to guide Scotland to South Africa - but we shall see!
