I swear I heard Byrne say a few weeks ago that they was extending him until the end of the season as he had been unlucky with injuries and was looking to get him a loan deal.
Obviously changed their minds. His contract was extended by a month... malpas obviously knew his injury histry and knew he would be cheap to get rid of.

To be honest, he just reminded me of Alan Young, i didn't ever see anything that excited me about him. I always wanted him to do well, but loads seemed to think he was the next Michael Owen. Also, I used to play Football Manager, so know for a fact he wasn't really that good.

It must have been difficult stuck in limbo for all of that time not being able to train properly or play and steer away from the temptations that any lad his age should be getting up to.
Clean start is probably what the doctor ordered.

Obviously changed their minds. was extended by a month and he was on loan at Brackley for the month, with the games called off not sure he even played for them.

Obviously its the right decision, but I still hope he does well in the game. Our youth rejects rarely proove us wrong.

meh. i never saw what other saw in him.
Once he got injured and then fat that was always going to be the end of the line for him, his pace was his major asset as far as i could tell

Having a pisshead friend who supported Oxblurgh doesn't make Caton a bad person. But then I realised that the friend is a uni student too ... Tough luck Andy.

Caton turned out for a Scum side tonight in a friendly against Milton United, who I believe are Hellenic League. Apparently the Scum fielded seven or eight players who've played in a slightly higher standard of non league this season. Milton won 2-1....
