I know what you mean Oevil, I think some of his mistakes would get punished by a better striker than a League One player.

However he'd be a huge loss to our current defence, a Vincent-Aljofree pairing would fill me with dread if anyone got in behind... noit exactly quick are they

not true arriba, it's when he has time to think he gets into trouble.  Brilliant instinct player but I can only imagine how terrible he would have looked with someone like Hoddle playing next to him giving him time to think of a pass!

rob, his abilty with a football at his feet is erratic to say the least.even on a good day.
i agree with what you say about when he has time on the ball.i have raised tha point myself before.
ifils job is to defend and this he does pretty darn good imo.
i like him and wouldn't want to lose him at all

Agreed Arriba.

If he cut out the mistakes (which he largely has) and had better distribution we'd have lost him by now. I'm happy that's not the case.  He is key to our defence and it would be a bitter blow to lose him.

When he was suspended last time we lost 3 out of 4 games conceding 10 goals in the process........

Says everything for me, without him we'd go into meltdown at the back and would have big problems IMO

Exactly tonight will be interesting, hopefully they'll have Parkin and Furlong up front so we don't have to deal with pace as I do think that Ifils pace has been the key to our defence over the last 2 years.
Ifil and Aljofree compliment eachother well, but without Ifil I don't think Aljofree anywhere near as good where as Ifil plays just as well alongside Vincent and also Williams last season.

Didn't Aljofree play left back at Plymouth?  :?

If Kanyuka looks the business, then move Hasney across and play him with Jerel.
