I fucking loved it today.

Easton and Peacock superb. Our wingers finally put some work in. Made the team second in the table look ordinary... what more can you ask for?

No complaints at all, only that I thought Smith in goal for them, like Ince last week, showed Brez's kicking and decision making up.

Oh and that was a stonewall penalty, it was great to see all the midland-bastards get all upset when it wasn't given

when moses came on for blair, i thought we struggled to retain possession a little.

maybe but that was the time of the game when forest were throwing everything at us and they had their own player of real class, tyson, causing a bit of havoc

moses is an absolute unit, quick, looks to have settled in well and is even cockier than cox. he's got it all for us right now.

i don't want to disappear into dreamland but an ashikodi-cox partnership come february would be simply untouchable.

and given paynter and sturrock's workrate today it's boding well

need a more creative midlfielder to play along easton to really break into the top 4 or 5, as hard as peacock obviously battles

Nothing to add to what everyones said -  we were great. But one thing stood out today - how important it is in this division to have a centre mid who's strong in the air - Super Lee won so much today and that got us going - its not an attribute you'd normally look for in a central midfielder, but jesus he's playing well right now

From Vital Forrest:

The weather conditions at the County ground were truly awful today, but that was the case for both sides and hopefully Forest will not be offering this as an excuse for another sorry performance away from home.

Two own goals were to be one reason for the Reds downfall, but we should take nothing away from what sounded like a spirited Swindon performance. It was a game the home side dominated from start to finish and one they thoroughly deserved to win.

Forest went in at half time only the one goal behind after Perch headed into his own net 10 mins from the interval. You hoped that Forest would come out for the second half with the bit between their teeth, but it was more of the same as the home side once again took control of the game.

We did pull one back through Luke Chambers, as he headed in from the far post. It has to be said that even the equaliser came against the run of play with the home side still causing us problems. Forest just couldn't get the ball out of their own half. Bennett was booked whilst warming up, to add to the misery and Grant Holt picked up the same for a belt he received to the face.

Swindon regained their lead when another good cross by McGovern was headed in for the second own goal of the game, this time by Breckin. Although Tyson had what sounded like a good penalty shout turned down, anything other than victory for the home side would have been a travesty.

Our away form is now real cause for concern. It's now 9 games since a win on our travels and if we are to gain promotion then this has to change. Forest are away again on Wednesday night, this time to struggling Millwall. All of a sudden, that has become a must win game.

Teams:

Swindon: Brezovan, Comminges, Vincent, Ifil, Aljofree, McGovern, Peacock, Easton, Zaaboub, Paynter, Sturrock (Ashikodi 79).
Subs Not Used: Roberts, Nicholas, Pook, McNamee.

Booked: Comminges, Ashikodi.

Goals: Perch 35 og, Breckin 82 og.

Forest: Smith, Chambers, Lockwood (Wilson 83), Morgan, Breckin, Perch, McGugan, Cohen, Commons (Tyson 54), Davies, Holt.
Subs Not Used: Roberts, Lennon, Bennett.

Booked: Bennett, Holt, Tyson.

Goals: Chambers 63.

Fantastic today. Great start for Malpas. Really impressed with us. We are really making the CG a hard place to visit for any team and this result and the Swansea one prove that. 7 unbeaten now as well. Roll on Barnet midweek  Cheesy

Twats per person in the Townend vs. twat in the forrest squad. Fair play to the bloke, I'd have done the same.

Reading Forest forums they are so fucking up themselves they are calling for CC to be sacked!

Heres a few quotes

Quote

I'm usually optimistic, and I'm not writing our chances off. But that was RUBBISH. Why the hell are we losing to teams like Swindom Town. I don't give a f**k whether we're at home or away or what the conditions are like, there are no excuses for these all too regular pathetic away performances. If we don't start winning away soon, we're going to be in serious trouble. How can the game be so different away from home than at the City Ground?

Quote

Swindon....shit ground...shit team....we should be easily stuffing these sort of lower league teams

Quote

Swindon were rubbish we were worse

Quote

We scored all the goals?  Two own goals? Perch got the first for Swindon and then who got the winner?
Is this right?
We have begun winning the game for other teams

Quote
This is exactly what I feared after last week. We looked like we could win comfortably without playing too well and then we follow that up with a shocker
.

Quote

maybe I'm fickle, maybe I'm jumping the gun - but today sounded, from what I heard, Unacceptable.

one good quote.......

Quote

Many Forest fans still have their heads up their rectums.

We are no longer able to compete with big clubs like Carlisle and Swansea.

Yeovil destroyed us in the play-offs last season.

Bigger clubs like Orient and Doncaster have more financial clout.

Lets stop moaning about the plight of the club and just accept what we are.

An average third tier club with an average fan base and very average ownership.

Just enjoy the footie and stop moaning.

Message to Calderwood: Sign  a striker, or sign your letter of resignation, because by time Agogo's back, automatic promotion will be long gone.
I really can't be arsed to say anymore, apart from as god as my witness, I will NEVER go to Swindon again.

Quote

Having had to watch Swindon a few times this year in my capacity as a scout.

If we can not beat this shower of s**t I hold no great hope for the future.

on that note, i think the football league should be re-structured: rich clubs like us just should not have to play paupers like nottingham forest.
