....and on the flip side you see 16 year old chavs with their prams and a young baby which was a mistake with no sign of the father at all. Then to reward them for being stupid slags we give 'em a house.

It isnt always as cut and shut DV, if you wanna come meet some young women who have made a mistake and then have to live with it for the rest of their lives living on the breadline while wanting to change their lives I will show you, it might make you open your eyes a bit.

Whilst im aware its not as cut and dry as that....

.....you see all these people with children they probably didnt plan or want....and then you've got a loving married couple who for whatever reason cant have kids....

Bushey's right, its not always as clear cut as you'd like to think.

What pisses me off are those who have no real desire to have kids, but just see them as a fashion accessory, and those who have so many they can't look after them properly. I have examples of both in my extended family, and it annoys me so much when Rach and I have struggled so much with no end product, and at vast personal expense.

But, as they say, thats life. You play the hand you're dealt and get on with it.

It won't happen. We've been through four IVF cycles, all failed. No good reason why either. That said, when you go into the procedures, you know the success rates are still down around the 30% rate - which in itself is staggering once you understand the care and attention to detail the process involves. Frankly, we've decided that we can't deal with the physical (on her part, my bits fairly straightforward and pleasurable) and emotional torment any more.

As soon as we get home, we'll be starting adoption procedures - its now our mission in life to give some children who have had a difficult start in life through no fault of their own a loving a stable home and upbringing. Its our calling, if you like....
