On saturday my mates were discussing driving to Wycombe I think then getting the train (not tube) to wembley, apparently easier to get back onto the train after than queuing for the tube. Never done it myself mind.

The tube service is good, so it would probably best to drive/park and get one in. I went all the way on the train when I went to see Deutschland v England, but getting out of the ground is murder even though we were kept in for ages - thus the tube is heaving on the way back

Don't go to Osterley to get to Wembley  , that'll mean going all the way from the South East to the North West on the tube - nightmare.
Either do what Ash said and get the tube from Stanmore, it's only a couple of stops in the Jubilee line, or get a train from High Wycombe.

Shouldn't the advice be to other people: Don't talk to fatbury?

I'm tempted to go - just waiting to find out if I can before I get tickets. When I went to Wembley it was easy enough to get back on the tube, but there were only about 55,000 there.
Train from Wycombe sounds like a good plan
