Does it need a screen? There's a 4gb one without a screen for £30.

I can grab Ipod nanos for £20 if he still has any, if you want

Cheers for the offer but think Ill stick with the MP3 as heard Nanos have had some problems.

Plus, my dad may see it as a thing for the "younger" person if you get my drift!

They sell them in other places silly  Cheesy

Anyway, I think this is a good'n. Amazingly, amazon has loads and they're pretty cheap compared to elsewhere. Have a gander if you don't like this one:

I got one from Microdirect I think, it takes one AAA which lasts about 8-10 hours, it has a fm radio and is 4gb, with the USB attached to it, it's not the best, made by Sumvision, but brilliant for travelling to obscure places where electricity is at a premium, and everyone else is having to preseve their battery life.  it's pretty much the biggets capacity AAA one I could get for the money.

Thats a really good point.

Parents are off to India in a couple of weeks so might well be the case when they're trekking about!

Comes in a variety of groovy colours or black.  Mine delivered overnight IIRC.  Cheap, cheerful, and if johnny foreigner nicks it you've not lost a lot.
