There's a bit of talk along the lines of "we don't need to sell brez 'cos we've got loads of money", or "we should be able to sign blahdeblahblah manatee"
I'm interested to see how people want / expect the new owners to behave. Let's have a pointless scale...
5.... "Mr Sugar Daddy, let's spend all my money" 4 3 2 1.... "Let's sensibly run the club and keep it sustainable" 0.... "We've worked out we can rinse out the club and earn some mystery money"
If I really wanted proper scale answers then I'd do a poll, but I'm more interested in peoples expectations with a bit of reasoning or something.
sideways.

2/3...........
Fitton's (I hope) a shrewd, professional and honest businessman and he won't be throwing cash around like confetti. A couple of seasons in this league, along with making the club stable will do for me.
After that, who knows? The main thing is to ensure we never get into the mess we've experienced over the last few years..........

1/2 - I think we will be a tight run ship with occasional loosening of the purse strings from time to time.

What he said, no harm in keeping it tigh and upper mid-table for a year or two, we don't want to progress too fast it needs to be a sustainable thing. That includes on the pitch and off the pitch where there is a huge amount of bridge building to be done with local stakeholders.

I'm hoping for a club run within its means.
The sugar daddy part came with the purchase and clearing the debts I hope.
We need to be in a position where the club finances itself, so that we aren't running up debts. If that means we remain a league one club with the occasional forray into the Championship then so be it.
What I expect from the new board is for them to work on the club in the way they would with any other business, by increasing the strength of the brand, increasing the number of customers we have and providing investment when a return will be provided on it.
With the size of Swindon, the catchment area of the club etc etc the challenge is to get those people who are packing out our local pubs when Liverpool/Chelsea/Man Ure are playiing into the county ground and supporting their local team. Its a tough old job.

I would pretty much go along with all of the above.
I am looking forward to having a well run club built on sound foundations with an excellent youth set up providing a steady stream of young players coming through to the youth team with a bit of money being released here and there to strengthen where necessary (starting with Simon Cox)
Oh yes. A decent ground as well. Preferably a redeveloped CG.

I agree with pretty much all the above but I think we will not develop the CG as I think Mr Fitton and Mr Wray are business men and the only way they can make money out of this venture is to build a new purpose built stadium within the cronstraints of the borough which has a hotel/leisure/casino facilities so they can make some money back on their investment.
If they had not wished to build a new ground then they would not have been bothered about the St Modwen redevelopment rights issue in the takeover.
And dont forget as well that Mr Wray being so close to the Betfair empire that it doesnt take a brain surgeon to figure out that they MAY get involved if there were gambling rights at stake....such as if we had a casino linked to the new development.

A bit of everything really.
The end goal is to have the football club run as a successful profit making business, however for this to happen.....Fitton and Co will have to put some money in, speculate to accumluate and all that.
With regards, on the football pitch I just want to see us slowly progress. This season unless we get relegated we'll finish off better than we did last season. Say we finish 12th that would be fine, over the summer get some players out who we dont want and dont get rid of players we DO want....and bring in a few more. Finish higher than 12th next season.
