hardly a fierce or old rivalry tho is it, oxford utd only came into existance in 1960.
and the fact that oxford is a small city of so called educated types doesnt exactly send a shiver down yer spine does it!

villa brum Fair enough. It doesn't compare with any of those. Neither club is big enough for a start and I would say the Old Firm and as previously mentioned, the River Plate/Boca Juniors rivalries are out on their own. I would certainly put it on a par with Watford v Luton or Ipswich v Norwich though. |

HATE. Not dislike. There may not be the numbers that the big derbys have, but the hatred is as intense as most footballing rivalries.............

villa brum Regardless of how fierce, and traditional other rivalries may be. To call the say that the STFC/POX rivalry is not fierce is ridiculous. After all, they are down in the duldrums's and out od striking distance in competion terms yet who do we think of first?, and who do they think of first?. I am confident that a 20,000 stadium could be filled next month should we both meet in the cup ect. Not a fierce rivalry? BOLLOCKS!!! |
