Thats a turn-up for the books, I had Mourinho nailed on certainity for the job at FCB but Klinsmann will take over at the end of the season.

Mourinho is nailed on to take over from Rijkaard at Barca ...

They are and Hitzfeld is doing OK by all accounts, but it's not a 'sacking,' he's already said he's jacking it all in at the end of the season.

Hitzfeld said he would return only for one season to oversee a 'major squad rebuilding' (as happened in the summer with plyaer like Toni, Klose, Ribery etc coming in).

The first time he left Bayern was to spend more time with his family (during which time he was offered the Germany job), before returning to FCB a few years after

I thought Mourinho was a cert to be managing in Italy next season, as he's been learning Italian recently.  Rumour was a Milan club would be coming in for him in the summer.
