The position that I am currently in is very close indeed, in fact the saving Grace is that working from home with an internet connection, this forum has probably helped me to keep my sanity, I think wibble.
The repetition and boredom is oppressing, and the absolute "Dead endness" makes it that much more unbearable.
At least when I accepted the job I knew that it is just a temporary solution until I find something suitable and so I am safe in the knowledge that it was on no way a (Disastrous) career move.
On a brighter note though, I have a job interview with a good company and I think that I should fit in and enjoy the job very much. It should also offer me interesting and varied career options for the future also.
Fuck me I hope that I get it, wish me luck innit.

Whilst working my way through Uni, I took on loads of shit jobs.
The worst one was at a place called Faccenda, a chicken processing plant.
Live chickens came in...................................Frozen chickens (And bits) went out.
I lasted 2 nights..............

any number of shitty factory packing jobs.
I fucking hated working at MANERF as well. That's when my utter hatred of anything German started.

BOC over South Marston.
Started at 6:15am and the first break wasn't until 9:45am, it was a killer especially when you had a monster hangover like i did most days.

Iv'e had my fair share of shitty temp factory jobs as well: St. Ivel (Putting lids on yoghourt pots), packing cd's into cases and one where I had to do nothing but push a button on some sort of address stamping machine. But I found that there where usually a few like minded souls and we generally had the crack.
I lasted about 4 days at the MacDonalds drive through on Great Western Way. In my of my training I was actually given instructions on how to sleep a fucking floor and was shocked to find that an Answers and Question's session followed. I refused to answer any question as I found it soooooo fucking patronising, and because I asked no questions I was put down as a BUMBASS!!!!! I found the pride that some of the staff held in the stars on their name badges embarassing and I think that it was a comment along the lines of (I couldn't care less about some f'in gold star) that got me the sack.

I've been lucky. Only ever had 3 proper jobs and all been good! Just tele-marketing, it might not be so bad if I had some work colleague's around me but working from home on my own is the shit's. No real incentive either as in about 7 months I have made 0.00 in comission. Still though, as I have said I knew before that I even accepted the job that it was just a filler until I find something better.
